Why Should You Trust Us?

Our work is rooted in both lived experience and academic expertise. As a Zimbabwean-British founder with a degree in Politics and International Relations and a master’s in International Law in progress, I have dedicated my studies to creating real, lasting change. I am also here to listen, learn and grow with the platform. I am not a lawmaker (yet), therefore I cannot make any changes myself, but my pledge to you is that your story WILL be heard and recognised for the courage it took to live with it. This platform is not an abstract project - it is a continuation of years of learning, advocacy and personal experience.

We operate independently, free from political or corporate influence, so our priorities are clear: honesty, respect, and impact. We take data privacy seriously, ensuring all stories can be shared anonymously and stored securely. Our mission is to turn personal testimonies into a collective force that compels change, whether through policy influence, advocacy, or awareness-raising. Trust is the foundation of this work, and we aim to earn it by being transparent, reliable, and deeply committed to those who choose to share their experiences with us.

    1. Purpose: Carryzim.org is a storytelling project. It is NOT a medical service, counselling service, or political campaign tool. It exists to share stories, raise awareness, and connect experiences.

    2. Your stories: You remain the author and owner of your story. By submitting, you give us permission to publish, edit for clarity/length or translation, and share it (anonymously unless you ask otherwise). You confirm that your story is your own and does not defame or endanger others.

    3. Moderation: We may remove stories that contain hate speech, threats, or defamation. Include identifying details about third parties without consent or any that risk breaching local laws.

    4. Our responsibility: We do our best to keep the site safe, but: We can’t guarantee uninterrupted access and we are not responsible for decisions made by readers or organisations based on published stories.

All payments are processed securely through third-party providers and we do NOT store your payment information. Donations are non-refundable unless required by law.

    6. Governing law: This site is run from the UK. These terms and conditions are governed by UK law, though we aim to respect Zimbabwean law as well.
